Chapter 5: I hear hurricanes blowing

Whilst trying to stay healthy with my 3rd pregnancy, my trusty boom box gave up the ghost. There was no repairing this, only replacing it; I urged Cordelia to write more swiftly to bring in sufficient money.

GAZ NOTE: Yes, so my "luck" certainly continues. I did manage to train Xander in all three skills, but I am far from sure I got enough exercise in to qualify for twins. It's not being poor, exactly - I have rarely bought 7 objects per week, for example - it's more the absolute restrictions. I could easily have afforded multiple boom boxes to anticipate this issue - but you're not allowed to have them.

With Cordelia and Buffy taking turns writing, I managed to get a new boom box before Buffy gave birth, and immediately set her to working out again. Will it be enough?

Between Cordelia and myself we managed to earn enough to get a new boom box - equally as ancient - and I pushed myself to continue my cardio. With all four of my cubs off to school, I had a short break owed.

A very short break, that is. Being pregnant so often is a strain, but that is why I am careful to remain in the best of health.

Finally my two youngest cubs are now teenagers. I realise this is a trying time for many parents, what with mood swings and the like, but despite the fact that they are unable to attend high school (on account of high school not actually being a thing), I am a werewolf - mood swings of mere humans are nothing to me. They should be able to help with Dawn and Tara. Tara especially - she bears the changing gene, and she will be able to continue our bloodline once I have passed through to the next life.

That's a good point to end this chapter. Tara wasn't the last chance - Buffy is pregnant with a final kid - but I was getting a little worried. Of course it's not as if all my problems are solved - it is 14 days until I get any more YAs, and I'm still constantly broke, and I don't have enough beds... but at least my challenge can definitely now continue to the 3rd generation, which is encouraging.
